Does Being In Bondage To Sin Glorify God?
Does Being In Bondage To Sin Glorify God?

Of course not. Being made free by the Son of God, becoming a new creature, old things passing away and all things becoming new brings glory to God. Nobody in their right mind walks around bragging about how they’re in bondage to pornography, drugs, alcohol, gossip, jealousy, unforgiveness, etc., and expects people to glorify God because of it. He receives no glory or praise because people are bound by sin. No, he receives glory and praise when people are set free from bondages! He gets glorified when people say they used to be bound by sin and addictions, but now they are free by the Blood of the lamb and the Word of their testimony (their confession)! Being more than a conqueror, being always caused to triumph, having victory in Jesus is what causes people to glorify God. (Rom 8:37, 2 Cor 2:14, 1 Cor 15:57)
Yet, many Christians who would agree with what I just said, will say that sickness and disease glorifies God. It just doesn’t compute. Being in bondage to sickness doesn’t glorify God anymore than being bound by sin does. Both are a result of the fall of man, and both were associated with the curse of the law. But the Bible says we have been redeemed from the curse of the law (Gal.3:13). To say God puts sickness on you is no different than saying God put sin on you. The truth is God put both on Jesus at the cross, not on us! (Isa. 53). We need to learn what Jesus Christ did for us! To say God oppresses us with sickness is to say every good and precious gift comes from satan! It is totally contrary to scripture (Acts 10:38, Jam 1:17).
In Hebrews 1:3 it says Jesus is the express image of God. The Greek word for express image means a facsimile, an exact copy, a precise reproduction. Just like Jesus said in John 14:7,9 & 10:30 if you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen the Father, I and my Father are one. Let’s read the Gospels. Did Jesus ever make anyone sick? NO. Did Jesus ever refuse to heal anyone? NO. Did Jesus ever tell any sick person to just live with his sickness because it was teaching them a lesson or glorifying God? NO. Did Jesus always heal all who came to him in faith? YES. Who did Jesus say sickness was from? satan. (Lk 13:16, Acts 10:38)
Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus is the same yesterday, today, & forever. If that’s true, how can it not be God’s will to heal? If Jesus hasn’t changed, then who has? Jesus said a kingdom divided will not stand. If God puts sickness on people and Jesus casts it out, the
My wife was recently demonically attacked with a sickness, but praise be to God she is totally healed! If I would have thought for a moment that sickness was God’s will, how could I have prayed against it? In fact, if you think sickness is God’s will, then you are in rebellion against God if you try to pray against it, or take medicine, or go to the doctor! You better lay back and let that disease teach you whatever it is God wants you to know! Don’t you think God knows what He is doing? So you better not oppose it. I don’t want to offend anybody, but that is just crazy.
If I told you I injected my little boy with aids to teach him a lesson because I loved him so much, you’d think I was a monster, send me to jail, and in Texas I’d get the death penalty! Yet God’s kids accuse Him of the same thing everyday. Oh, how the devil must sit back and laugh as the Father’s kids blame Him for all the destruction and disease in their life. How it must break our Father’s heart to be accused of being the author of these things by His children. Shame on us. If we being evil know how to give good things to our kids, how much more will God give good things to those who ask? (Matt. 7:11).
Brothers and Sisters, God loves you infinitely more than you can imagine. He sent His precious Son Jesus so that we could have an abundant life, not to kill, steal, and destroy (Jn 10:10). God cares about you and what is going on in your life right now. He is the answer to your problems, not the cause. We’re chastised by the Word, not disease (2 Tim 3:16-17), we’re taught by the Holy Spirit, not sickness (Jn 14:26). Jesus hasn’t changed. He was the healer when He walked the earth, and He’s the healer now. I encourage you to reach out by faith in the Name of Jesus and by the power of His Blood, and receive from Him today. (Mk 11:23-24).
